The presence of the 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe is a little overwhelming at first glance but on closer inspection it is a perfectly refined, spacious and powerful full-sized SUV. The interior has an easiness about its design. The amenities are more than enough, it is spacious and there is a large amount of cargo space. The exterior on the other hand is loud as its design screams massive SUV but not in a bad way because the overall design is sleek and clean. Unlike the exterior, the engine is not loud but it certainly is powerful, Chevrolet has revamped the 2011 Tahoe engine, giving it more power than any other used Tahoe engine in recent times. The interior The interior is really comfortable and spacious. Features such as OnStar services and XM Satellite Radio give it an edge over the competition but it falls down in the ranks with maximum cargo space. The cargo space with the third row seating in place is good but maximizing that space by folding away the third row seating is a bit difficult, since the seats are bulky and hard to store. This is the only discomfort of the interior but otherwise it is perfect for large families. The exterior The massive frame sits on 17 x 7.5 inch wheels fitted with tires for all seasons. The exterior is also very practical and tailored for carrying cargo. The Tahoe has roof racks, trailer hitch, cargo tie downs and trailer wiring all geared at carrying extra weight. With the equipment on the SUV and the engines towing and hauling capacity, the Tahoe is one of the best full-sized SUV's for carrying weight. The Engine The 2011 Tahoe engine is strong, has an excellent acceleration and is also fuel-efficient by full-sized SUV standards. All trim levels have the Tahoe's strength because all of them have a 5.3 liter V8 cylinder engine. This engine generates 320 horsepower and 335 feet per pounds of torque. This amount of power allows the Tahoe to tow and haul weights of up to 8500 lbs. Not only is the Tahoe engine strong, it also accelerates at a rapid rate, going from zero to sixty in just 8.5 seconds. The 2011 Tahoe is not for the indecisive buyer. It is overwhelming but at the same time one of the best full-sized SUV's. The Tahoe's features, internal, external and those of the engine, give it this ranking because collectively they make an awesome machine worthy of the GM and Chevroet logo.
